How to join the Association

Types of membership

Under its constitution, the Association has three categories of membership. More detailed information on the types of membership and what each involves can be found in Sections 8 to 12 of the constitution.

Membership fees

Membership fees are prescribed by the Board of the Association. At present, the fee for both Individual membership and Library membership is AUD$50.00 (with an additional surcharge of AUD$15.00 for overseas members). The membership fee includes a subscription to the Association's newsletter ( two issues per year).

Application for membership

New applicants for membership must complete the appropriate "Consent to be a Member" form. There are separate forms for individual and library membership that can be printed  from this website and submitted as an application for membership.

Submission of the completed form signals the applicant's acceptance of the Association's constitution and, in the case of library membership, nominates a particular person to represent the library at meetings of the Association.

Upon receipt of the appropriate consent form and membership fee, the Secretary will record the new member's details in the Association's "Register of Members".
